Self-driving shuttle service takes off at Xinjiang international airport

Autonomous airport transport is taking off in Xinjiang, northwest China. Urumqi Tianshan International Airport has launched a large-scale autonomous shuttle service on its apron. The self-driving vehicles can cruise, avoid obstacles and dock automatically, even in extreme weather. More than 100 autonomous vehicles and devices are now helping make airport operations smarter and more efficient.■
